花博公園為市民散步休憩、親子同遊、參與展演活動及感受城市綠意的重要公共空間。為配合臺北市政府推動無菸城市政策，園區除指定吸菸區外全面禁菸，並透過設置指定吸菸區，提供有吸菸需求之民眾至指定區域使用，共同降低二手菸及三手菸對環境與他人的影響，維護健康、舒適且友善的遊園環境，打造更宜人的公共空間。

為什麼設置指定吸菸區？
近年臺北市持續推動戶外吸菸分流措施，參考國際城市經驗，透過指定吸菸區設置，降低二手菸及三手菸對公共空間及其他民眾之影響。推動指定吸菸區制度的目的，在於兼顧公共健康與環境品質，逐步建立「至指定吸菸區吸菸」的城市文化。
花博公園每年吸引大量市民及國內外旅客到訪，無論是假日市集、戶外活動、展覽展演或日常休憩，皆是大家共享的公共空間。透過指定吸菸區設置，希望讓吸菸者與非吸菸者都能享有更舒適、更友善的使用環境，共同維護園區品質與城市風景。

除指定吸菸區外，園區道路、廣場、綠地、活動場館周邊、排隊動線及其他公共空間均禁止吸菸。
Smoking is prohibited on park roads, plazas, lawns, around event venues, in queueing areas, and throughout all other public spaces, except in designated smoking areas.
