EXPO Dome Plaza (爭艷廣場) is an outdoor plaza located immediately outside EXPO Dome, within Taipei Expo Park.
The plaza functions as a shared public open space and does not operate as an independent event venue.Any consideration of its use is strictly linked to a corresponding indoor event proposal for EXPO Dome.

Designed primarily for public circulation and shared park use
No permanent enclosure or exclusive-use infrastructure
The plaza is not configured as a standalone event site and does not provide the same level of operational control as indoor venues.
EXPO Dome Plaza may be reviewed only in connection with an approved indoor event proposal for EXPO Dome.
Use of the plaza is not automatic, even when the indoor venue is approved
Assessment of the plaza is conducted separately, based on actual operational needs
Approval of EXPO Dome does not imply inclusion of the plaza
The plaza cannot be applied for or used independently.
Use of EXPO Dome Plaza is assessed based on the nature and impact of the proposed activity.
Activities that involve event elements, such as booth installations, temporary stages, programmed performances, or audience-oriented setups, require administrative review and approval.
Use of the plaza solely for operational support, such as queueing, entry circulation, or crowd management directly related to an approved indoor event, generally does not require a separate application.
All determinations are made on a case-by-case basis, taking into account public access, safety, and operational impact.
For detailed conditions and confirmation of applicability, organizers are advised to consult with the Taipei Expo Foundation in advance.
When considered in relation to an indoor event, EXPO Dome Plaza may be evaluated for limited, ancillary purposes, including:
audience circulation and queue management
transitional or staging functions directly supporting the indoor program
At all other times, the plaza remains part of the park’s shared public environment, open to general public use.
As an open plaza within an urban park, EXPO Dome Plaza is subject to:
public access and circulation priorities
coordination with park operations and surrounding facilities
restrictions necessary to maintain safety and daily park use
Any proposed use must demonstrate clear necessity and minimal impact on the shared public space.
