Purpose

This page explains how film, television, photography, and media teams can request permission to conduct shoots in designated areas of Taipei Expo Park.

Important: Filming and photography are not included in the standard event venue rental process. They follow a separate application and review workflow.

If your shoot takes place inside a venue that is available for short-term rental, you must reserve that venue through the standard venue rental process, in accordance with applicable rules and requirements.

Scope

This guidance applies to:

• Film and television production
• Commercial photography
• Advertising and promotional shoots
• Documentary and media recording
• News and broadcast filming

Where filming may be considered

Filming and photography may be considered only in designated park areas, subject to availability and operational conditions.

Access depends on

• The specific location requested
• The proposed date and duration
• Equipment size and setup needs
• Impact on public access and park operations

Application process overview

All commercial filming and photography activities require prior application and approval. Approvals are granted case by case.

1. Submit an application

   Provide a clear filming/photography plan, including schedule, locations, crew size, and equipment list.

2. Review and assessment

   Requests are reviewed based on location, schedule, and operational impact.

3. Coordination (if required)

   Additional coordination with park management and relevant municipal agencies may be required.

4. Operate under approved conditions

   On-site filming must follow the approved routes, areas, and safety/operational instructions.

Review factors

Applications are reviewed based on factors including:

• Public safety and crowd impact
• Traffic and pedestrian flow
• Noise and lighting use
• Equipment scale and setup complexity
• Compatibility with other park activities and events

Additional documents or coordination may be required depending on the production plan.

On-site requirements (if approved)

• Use designated access routes and filming areas
• Follow safety and operational instructions
• Avoid disrupting public use of the park
• Restore the site to its original condition after filming

Failure to comply may result in the suspension or cancellation of filming permission.

• Filming permission is not guaranteed.
• Approval for one location or date does not apply to other locations or dates.
• Schedule changes require prior confirmation.
• Some areas may remain open to the public during filming.
